Supporting Our Community: Carrick-on-Suir Credit Union Community Fund Event
Carrick-on-Suir Credit Union was proud to host a special Community Fund event on Monday, 13th April 2026 in the Carraig Hotel, Carrick-on-Suir. This evening was dedicated to shining a spotlight on the incredible work being carried out by local clubs and community groups.
Supporting Our Community
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to giving back to the community we serve. Through the Community Fund, a portion of the Credit Union’s surplus is set aside each year to support local organisations that play such a vital role in the social, cultural, and sporting life of the area.
This year so far, we have been delighted to award funding to over 30 local groups, with a total of over €30,000 distributed among successful applicants. The funding will go towards a wide range of initiatives, helping groups to grow, improve their facilities, invest in equipment, and continue delivering valuable services within the community.
Speaking ahead of the event, Pat Dunphy, CEO of Carrick-on-Suir Credit Union, said:
“We were truly inspired by the quality and diversity of applications received this year. Each one reflected the incredible commitment, generosity, and community spirit that exists locally.
As a community-based organisation, we are proud to support over 30 groups with more than €30,000 in funding so far this year. This event is about recognising that work and celebrating the people behind it.”
