Carrick-on-Suir Credit Union Launches New Scholarship Fund for Local Students

At Carrick-on-Suir Credit Union, supporting our community has always been at the heart of what we do. That’s why we are delighted to announce the launch of our brand-new Scholarship Fund for 2026 — an initiative designed to support local students as they take the next step in their educational journey.

This exciting new fund will award two scholarships of €1,000 each to deserving 6th Year students progressing to further or higher education.

Whether students are planning to attend university, college, apprenticeships, or training programmes, we understand that the transition into the next stage of education can bring significant costs. Through this initiative, we hope to ease some of that financial pressure while recognising the hard work, ambition, and achievements of young people in our community.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship fund is open to:

• 6th Year students attending local secondary schools
• Students living within the Carrick-on-Suir Credit Union common bond area
• All eligible students — membership is not required to apply, although successful applicants may need to become members before funds are issued

What Are We Looking For?

Applicants will be asked to complete a short online application outlining:

• Their education and career plans
• Personal achievements and accomplishments
• Future goals and ambitions
• Why they would benefit from the scholarship

We want to hear from students who are passionate about their future, committed to their goals, and eager to make a positive impact in their communities.

Application Deadline

The closing date for applications for the 2026 Carrick-on-Suir Credit Union Scholarship Fund is 31st May 2026.
